Dear Dr Kanli, your kind and amazing assistant whose name has now escaped me, and Stephanie - I was terrified of coming to my extraction appointment today. I've never had to face major dentistry without twilight sedation and I had, by 12 noon today, worked myself into such a frenzy that I almost cancelled my appointment. I called Stephanie, who not only treated me with compassion but who took my fears and calmed them with her own personal experience and added in some much needed humor when I mentioned that the images in my head included a "bloodbath". Simply said, if it weren't for her, I may have been a no show today. As for your clinical staff, I have been with Dr Muldoon all my life. It was going to be hard to win me over after 30 years with the same doctor. That said, Dr Kanli achieved that and more today. My extraction was NOT easy, I am more than aware of this, but he never lost focus of the procedure but perhaps more importantly, he never lost focus on me, the patient. My comfort was his top priority along with providing me with the best possible clinical care and I believe, even after two hours in that chair, that he reached that goal. I may be in a lot of pain as I write this, but rest assured, it brings tears to my eyes knowing that the team of professionals I visited with today who performed my oral surgery were the best.
